Central Queensland Radiology in Capricorn Coast Hospital media release

It was an exciting week at Capricorn Coast Hospital and Health Service when its CT service started running for the first time. CT scanning on the coast started on Tuesday, adding to the suite of ultrasound and x-ray that kicked off on December 2.

This means patients no longer need to travel to Rockhampton for medical imaging, which includes CT, x-rays, ultrasound, echocardiography and dental scans.

The services have been made possible thanks to a partnership between Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service and Central Queensland Radiology. The medical imaging technology is also available for private referrals, which is great news for all patients on the Capricorn Coast. The service is initially operating from Monday to Friday.
